The Wellbeing and Health In-reach Nurse (WHIN) Coordinator Program is a partnership between NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education. Carolyn James (WHIN) will work closely with Mount Annan High School's Learning and Support and Wellbeing teams, to support students and families in accessing local health and social services on a wide range of health and wellbeing issues.
Meet our Wellbeing Nurse
Carolyn is a clinical nurse specialist who will be working across our school, with our learning and support team, to help connect students and families with health and community services. She is here to help support students and families in addressing health needs, coordinate appropriate assessments and assist with referrals to any needed medical or social services.
This is a new role and we will be sharing Carolyn with Mount Annan High School, Narellan Vale Public School and Mount Annan Public School. She will be available at Mount Annan High School on Wednesdays.
If you would like to speak to Carolyn, please contact the school and a referral will be made to see her.
This isn’t a First Aid position. Carolyn is employed by the Local Health District and is one of around 100 similar roles that are being introduced in schools across NSW in a partnership between NSW Health and the Department of Education.
