Library and Literacy

The library’s focus is for all students to gain skills to become effective users of information.

During library lessons in Years 7, students cover the stages of the Information Process with emphasis on:

• Accessing and locating resources using Oliver, our online Library Catalogue
• Searching using keyword and subject searches and power searches
• Evaluating websites
• Organising information
• Writing bibliographies and in-text referencing
• Avoiding plagiarism
