Weekly Events - Week 6B

Dear students, parents and carers and our wonderful MAHS community,

Welcome to Week 6B, commencing Monday 2nd June. We have made it to the halfway point of a very busy but fantastic Term 2.  I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate our wonderful students on their participation at the Athletics Carnival – it was a great day with students displaying their CRESTable behaviour throughout the day.

We have a few events on this week including the Year 10 Geography Excursion to Warilla Beach (for students in classes 10HSIE D, E and F) on Monday with students meeting at the Quad Stairs by 8.15am, the Future Teachers Club STEM Camp (for selected students) running from Tuesday to Friday and the Macarthur Advisors Career Expo (for selected students) on Thursday. We thank staff for supporting these events and encouraging our students to participate.

There are also many assessments tasks due for students across Years 9-12 over the next few weeks. Students should check their notifications and make sure they are prepared for any upcoming assessments they may have. A reminder that our assessment booklets are available on our School website in the ‘Parent and Carer Communication’ section. These booklets contain valuable information outlining the timing and types of tasks as well as the MAHS Illness and Misadventure form. All families should be aware of this process, in particular Years 9 to 12 should it apply to them.

Some key events to keep an eye out for:

  • Week 7: Monday 9th June – King's Birthday – Public Holiday (yep you guessed it, this means next week is a shorter week!! 😊)

  • Week 7: Tuesday 10th June – SRC Applications close for 2025/2026 - please ensure students who are interested in applying have submitted their application to Mr. Murray by this date!

  • Week 8: Thursday 19th June – CAPA Night

  • Week 9: Monday 23rd June - Subject Selection Evening for Years 8 and 10 – more information on this to come with families and students expected to attend.

Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!
