Weekly Events - Week 10B

Dear students, parents and carers, and MAHS community,

Welcome to Week 10B commencing Monday 7th April, the final week of Term 1, YAY!!!  What a term it has been with so many achievements for our students and staff during this time.  As we come to the closure of the term, please don’t forget this week to take the opportunity to look at our school shell jackets.  These jackets are warmer than the traditional school jacket and will support the colder months that are coming our way.  The shell jackets can only be purchased through our school uniform store so please check our website for opening times to get in now before the cold truly hits.

This week we wish our students representing our school at the NSW CHS Swimming Championships on Monday to Wednesday all the best.  We know they will do us proud.  This week, we also have our Go Scholars on Country Experience occurring on Tuesday, School Cross Country on Wednesday, Girls in Tech and our Knockout Soccer Team all on Thursday.  We then wrap up the week with our Support Unit Community Access programs running on Friday, including attending on Ten Pin Bowling.

We ask families of Year 11 students in Legal Studies and Health and Movement Science (PDHPE), to remind your child that they have an in-school assessment task on Wednesday, which will occur prior to the Cross Country.  These times have been scheduled in for some time, with a letter coming home advising all.

As a remind to our families and students, the Cross Country is on Wednesday this week.  There will be roll call and normal classes from 8.50am to 12.30pm.  From 12.30pm, the Cross Country begins. Students will be dismissed as normal at 3pm.  On this day, students are to come to school in their Sports Uniform and appropriate running shoes.

As mentioned last week, we remind families that school concludes on Friday 11th April, with school resuming on Wednesday 30th April for Years 7 to 11, and then Thursday 1st May for Year 12.  We thank you for a wonderful term and look forward to you all having a safe and restful autumn break.

Wishing everyone a fantastic week, and be amazing, do good things and put your rubbish in the bin.
