Weekly Events - Week 4B

Dear students, parents and carers, and MAHS community,

Welcome to Week 4B commencing Monday 24th February. We are moving nicely into term 1 with some positive experiences for our students. As a reminder for students, school commences at 8.50am, so being here by 8.45am is a great start to start the day.  It will also allow students to grab some breakfast if they have not done so at home and be on time to roll call to support roll call marking.

This week, most of our school events will fall on Friday 28th February.  These events include the Zone Swimming Carnival, West Tigers Boy’s Rugby League Day, Year 7 Headspace Incursion and the Support Unit Community Access programs.  All events are accessible via school bytes and support our students in a variety of ways including wellbeing, academics, beyond school skills and sports growth.  We do hope our students have a great day and thank our staff for their efforts on Friday.  We also have this week selected SRC Students participating in an SRC leadership opportunity at Elderslie High School on Monday.  These students are to come to school first before we support their trip to Elderslie High School.

As mentioned previously, a lot of school clubs have begun.  This week, selected students are participating in our Term 1 Coffee Club training.  This is a fantastic initiative led by staff within the school, and we look forward to seeing another round of students participate in this experience.  ‘The Hub’ also started last week on Thursday, and we remind families and students that it is not only an opportunity to gain assistance from staff with homework or assignments, but also an opportunity to hang out with friends.  Thank you to Ms Bos and the team for supporting ‘The Hub’ and our students from 3pm to 4pm on Thursdays in the Library.

We also would like to let our community know of our upcoming Year 7 2026 Information Evening.  This is occurring on Monday 17th March in our school hall from 4.45pm to 7.00pm.  We know some families may have attended in previous years, but it would be great to see you all there to be updated on some new processes and to support your child’s transition to high school.

Wishing everyone a fantastic week, and be amazing, do good things and put your rubbish in the bin.
