Weekly Events - Week 4B

Dear students, parents and carers, and MAHS community,

Welcome to Week 4B commencing Monday 4th November. This week we are continuing our focus on arriving to school on time for roll call.  Students should be at school by 8.40am so they are ready to move and be in their roll call room by 8.50am.  Students who are continually late will be spoken to by the school to support improvement.

This week is the last of the HSC Examinations for the current Year 12 group.  Next week, the Year 12s will have their school formal and their official school graduation on Thursday 14th November at school.  These experiences will be one that they can cherish as memories of their schooling years.

We have a few things on this week for our students starting with selected Year 11 students attending on the excursion for the ‘Party Program’ on Monday.  We then have the continuation of our Peer Tutor Reading Program at Currans Hill Public School on Tuesday, followed by the commencement of extra transition days for students transitioning from primary to high school on Wednesday so that they feel ready for high school.  On Thursday we have Years 9 and 10 attending the SMASHED Project incursion around alcohol education and impacts.  We also have on Thursday the Support Unit Warragamba Dam Excursion and WSU PATHE excursion for our Pacifica students.  Then on Friday our Support Unit will continue their various Community Access programs.

Also, I challenge our students to focus on being kind this week and taking the time to help others.  We remind students to “Be Kind, Be Brave, Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Happy, and Be You”!!!

Wishing everyone a fantastic week, and be amazing, do good things, and put your rubbish in the bin.
