Annual Student Vaccinations
Vaccinations play an important role in keeping our students, staff and school community healthy and safe. Each year, our school participates in the NSW Department of Education and NSW Health’s School Vaccination Program.
Vaccination Schedule
Students in selected year groups are offered routine vaccinations at school throughout the year. These may include:
- Year 7: Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (dTP)
- Year 10: Meningococcal ACWY
- Other vaccinations may be offered as advised by NSW Health
The exact timing of vaccinations will be provided to parents and carers in advance.
Consent Process
All vaccinations require signed consent from a parent or carer. Consent forms are distributed prior to the scheduled vaccination date and must be returned to the school. Additional information about each vaccine, its benefits, and potential side effects is provided with the consent forms.
What to Expect
- Vaccinations are administered by qualified NSW Health staff onsite.
- Students will be supervised before and after receiving their vaccines.
- School staff and NSW Health will ensure all students are supported and cared for during the process.
After the Vaccination
Parents and carers will receive information about possible side effects and advice on aftercare. If you have any questions or concerns following your child’s vaccination, please contact the school or your local healthcare provider.
