UOW Regional Science Fair

University of Wollongong Regional Science Fair - Wednesday 28 November

A Science fair is an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to conduct independent research. The results of each student's research is presented to judges, where the student's efforts are displayed and where students are interviewed to determine scientific merit. Students who have been judged to have used the scientific method properly and who have demonstrated thoroughness in their studies and effort are awarded prizes.

The University of Wollongong Illawarra Coal Science Fair is a great opportunity for primary and high school students to develop their scientific skills and investigate the incredible universe around us.

We had a wonderful day, albeit quite wet and foggy, at the UOW Science Fair. Congratulations to the following students who represented our school and did us proud.

Nicholas D, Emily H, Lily W, Sienna M, Georgia L, Ebony Rose M, Alice J and Elle M.

A special congratulations must go to Nicholas D, Alice J and Elle M who were awarded a Highly Commended medallion for their exceptional Research Project and presentation skills. Well done to you all.

With over a thousand students and 560 projects competing that day, it was certainly an achievement for these award winners to be successful.

Well done to you all. All students who attended today presented their boards beautifully and spoke with conviction to the judges. You all deserve congratulations. Well done.
