7 Titanium

The transition from Primary School to High School is an exciting and stressful time for students and their parents and carers. This can involve entering a larger school setting, more students, teachers, subjects and increased movement around the school. Many students will thrive in developing their independence and have a positive experience in their high school journey. Other students may require additional structured and scaffoladed support to ensure a successful and positive transition from Primary School to High School. To assist students who require additional support, Mount Annan High school offers the 7 Titanium (7T) class for students who may benefit from this increased support model.

7T Support Team

The 7T class is a mainstream class that follows the same program of learning as all other mainstream Year 7 classes. In fact, twice the dux from year 7 has come from the 7T class in recent years. It is a smaller class (approximately 20 students) with fewer teachers. The core subjects (English, Mathematics, HSIE, PDHPE and Science) are generally taught by the same teacher whilst in the same classroom. Specialist subjects (TAS, Music, Art and Language) are taught in specialist classrooms. The 7T class aims to provide a more stable and consistent learning environment for students who may be anxious or who require additional support, medically, academically or socially, in their transition to High School.
